Cloud Server Information

Cloud Server is based on the industry leading virtualisation platform VMware vSphere. Customisable with a range of specification options, Cloud Servers are provisioned automatically and are available for use within 1 hour of submitting your online order.

Cloud Data can confidently guarantee high levels of availability due to the investment we have made in resilient equipment in multiple data centres. We know from experience that no IT equipment is infallible, no matter how expensive or sophisticated, and no data centre is immune from downtime due to power failures. It is for this reason that we have separated our infrastructure over multiple geographic sites ensuring that even in the case of a total blackout at one of our sites, we will get your VMware HA Server back online swiftly and with no manual intervention or loss of performance.

Each Cloud Data site is equipped with HP Blade Servers in an N+1 configuration, and all data and configuration is stored on HP SAN units configured in RAID10. The SAN units are then replicated in real time using FalconStor CDP to another Cloud Data location. This means that for every 1GB of data you store, we store 4GB, mitigating the risk of disk failure, SAN head unit failure and even complete data centre blackout. And we offer all of this for a price comparable to a single dedicated server.
