Cloud Server DR is designed for SOHO (Small Office, Home Office) and ROBO (Remote Office, Branch Office) locations running one or more business critical servers which need to be brought back online as quickly as possible after a failure. The service uses the industry leading FalconStor CDP solution. FalconStor CDP replaces conventional, slow tape-based solutions with the industry's fastest, most granular recovery solution for mission-critical databases, messaging data, files, and even entire systems. FalconStor CDP can replace or enhance your existing backup solution with continuous journaling and any-point-in-time recovery, to protect data between regularly scheduled backups, minimise data loss, and keep your business going during planned or unplanned outages.

To use the Cloud Server DR service a CDP agent is installed on each server to be backed up. Instead of backing up all data on a schedule, the CDP agent backs up changes as they occur, meaning that every single transaction is captured, sent over your Internet connection and stored on Cloud Data’s high availability Storage Area Network.Built in snapshotting means you can restore to a point in time – CDP can therefore replace your existing scheduled backup infrastructure, or simply run alongside it as an additional layer of protection.

Application aware snapshot agents ensure transaction integrity for databases and messaging platforms including Microsoft SQL and Exchange.Once you have backed up your data to the Cloud Data SAN, we can get your servers back online within 60 minutes of a failure. Cloud Data can essentially recreate your servers from the backed up data onto our VMware ESX platform – you can access them remotely and continue to work as normal until normal service is resumed on your servers.
