No IT equipment is infallible, no matter how expensive or sophisticated, and no data centre is immune from downtime caused by power or cooling problems.

We’ve invested in industry-leading technology across our cloud infrastructure to minimise the chances of downtime caused by component failure.

And because we split our server and storage infrastructure across multiple data centres in different localities, we can guarantee to provide the highest possible levels of availability. All our sites are configured to fail over to one another, so even in the event of a catastrophic local power cut, our customers won’t suffer.

While we’re well prepared for data centre downtime, we prefer to ensure it doesn’t happen in the first place. That’s why every data centre at each of our sites operates at N+1 capacity, where every component in the system has a redundant “twin”, so we can cope with a complete failure of any component without any degradation in performance.
